Signs

At work we had a bad-busy stretch, and I am sharing a desk and phone with a woman on the edge. We had a day where her one genuine laugh (that I witnessed) seemed to be after she said that she didn't know where her time had gone. I explained that losing time is one of the signs of alien abduction.

Later in the week I could smell sausage rolls - but other people could not. That led me to wonder whether I was having a stroke, because that could be one of the signs. There really were sausage rolls though.  read more »

I think that maybe I can turn Benjiguy to the dark side. He seems to be agreeing that the internet can be a little bit good potentially.

Differently Socialed

That is the term I was searching for, but I think I have just had to coin it after the moment passed. I can only find "differently socialized" (they're American, so that's fine,) which is talking about socialisation of dogs vs wolves.

I have just had a strange exchange where I tried to explain that I am differently socialed. Although I dislike shit along the lines of 'differently abled', I like my term because I enjoy applying an odd type of humour to myself.

I have just been shocked in a good way, because the founder of a social networking type site has asked how I like it. And they explained something about the way it works that really was very informative. And, and - were behind an old site that I still miss.

I suspect it was like a standard message thing, but I still rate it highly to even care enough to ask in a formulaic way.  read more »
