Idiots

Service With A Smile

I had a shit day, and that was because I saw my neurologist. Lovely lady, not responsible for my brain damage.

I went to claim over the counter at Medicare. Chick was obviously having a bad day, which I no doubt made worse. In response to "HiHowAreYou?", I said that I'd seen better days. She noted that I didn't have inoperable cancer. I said that's true, then asked where on the 'HowAreYou' scale she would put MS. No further words passed between us, except for her counting the refund out loud.

Late in the day I was exposed to crap TV media. Makes me so angry to listen to idiots. People are not 'like butter' to sharks. Butter would be far easier. Sharks do not single out and hunt down humans through malice, to a shark *everything* is potential food.

Closest to an upside was that the neurologist confirmed my theory about my brain trying to use visual input to detect balance and motion. The effect fascinates me because sometimes I *feel* movement while I am stationary.

Institute Of Idiots

This is a rare thing. I can't look at 'mainstream media' without getting pissed off. So one of my very few news sources is Time magazine. It's like a quality publication. At the same time, the letters pages are 'better quality'. Harsh as it is, I think it's because people who are happy with the free newspapers on trains... they don't write to time, so I am spared their idiocy.

I have just read a letter pointing out how very wrong an article was to suggest that oil companies have any control over prices. "If they did, then why would oil prices ever drop?"

1 - they have recently dropped an awful lot. I know this, and I don't pay any attention to the world. Who do these 'tards think is responsible for that?

2 - Why would anyone ever drop a price? To get people to buy things. I could sell coffee at $50 a cup. If I want the side of the equation where anyone buys my coffee... I drop to $3. This is all completely within my control.

The two writers of this letter are from the "Competitive Enterprise Institute" in Washington.

The Horror

I can not express the horror of Client From Hell today.

Have just spent some quality time at home in my work email. Priority #1 - ask IT guy to please not stress, and explain situation with as little gore as possible. #2 - suggest that someone please start doing what I asked for help with, because we need it regardless of decisions.  read more »

Have I Bagged AMP Lately?

Not recently enough!

I have lodged a formal complaint with AMP, and the guy today seemed to be saying that they really never got my form, he really is certain, but there is no way he can pull out what I sent.  read more »

They're Everywhere

I just can't be bothered checking to see what I have posted or nor.

Pretty sure I haven't mentioned that, on Monday, I had a meltdown. Better now. Tuesday I saw my GP, and that was to organise counseling. I agreed last week that it was sensible. And Monday proved it's a good idea. I find it funny that in the referral letter, I have been described as "a stalwart lass".  read more »

One More Time

AMP. They must have issues, which is really disturbing in a large financial company.

Today I got my rollover forms back, signed by HR. I don't see that AMP need that, but I need to leave zero excuse. Tomorrow I organise the certified mail.

By co-incidence, today I get a letter from AMP. They think maybe I missed a letter from them, so have sent a copy. The copy is proof that the retards never actioned my change of address. The letter was August 2007. I moved... around November 2006.

I hate AMP so much.
