In a stand-out fit of annoyance today I... probably confused the Hell out of someone.
I absolutely understand why stores say they don't accept returned games. I 100% disagree that their policy is either clearly displayed, or legal. So, I was faced with a fucktard who was generally unhelpful, and who refused to utter any phrase other than 'we don't accept returns for software'. He said this even when I offered him the game, and again when I said I meant it as the game has $0 value to me. He said the same thing when I pushed it across the counter and said 'This is my gift to you'.
So I just walked out of the store, never to return. My consolation (other than the fact that they are on my shit-list) is the that, I imagine, it will be the topic of much puzzled discussion among Fucktard and his co-workers.
Topic aside for a moment - I think I have finally escaped AMP. Yaay!
I have had work stress such that I have taken to pinching the bridge of my nose. Yesterday I let the guys know not to do that with long fingernails. New chick (who I like fine, just not at all my type), piped up with a 'You know what you need to do to stop that?' I know what she meant, but she never got there because I told her what I need. read more »
I wasted some of my very few words today, to say to the guys that - if they're lucky, I'll be quiet tomorrow as well. I have very nearly no voice, and I figure that if I shut up now... that's sensible. Other than mild phlegm, that is my only symptom. Except for the morning cough, which got me up at four, but stopped by five. read more »
I think my boss is happy I didn't hurt anyone this week!
The other day on the train home, the driver made a really great announcement. I like communicative train drivers, because they seem to be sharing the love, or wishing they could hurt people. This guy wanted the people who had forced the doors open to suffer humiliation. Or severe frownings at least. He did seem to get involved in the reasons why they should not take that absolutely inconsiderate action. One of those reasons was then getting dragged along the platform. read more »
AMP. They must have issues, which is really disturbing in a large financial company.
Today I got my rollover forms back, signed by HR. I don't see that AMP need that, but I need to leave zero excuse. Tomorrow I organise the certified mail.
By co-incidence, today I get a letter from AMP. They think maybe I missed a letter from them, so have sent a copy. The copy is proof that the retards never actioned my change of address. The letter was August 2007. I moved... around November 2006.
I hate AMP so much.
To not log in to my work email account until I am in work on Monday.
Obviously I am a tad stressed, so I forgot that people check on me by putting return receipts on things. So I got this email that looked innocuous, but it just told me I'd been caught.
I can't be arsed with much, so the short version is that hospital shit sucks. I am all funny with steroids. Good side is that I notice a small improvement - and it's small but critical because not being able to swallow properly has meant eating hasn't been working right. That bit is better. read more »
I quit smoking. Just under 24 hours now, and no casualties to report. So it's all going well. Except this one bit where my supervisor tried to break me out of a work-related angry fit. By telling me to go outside and have a cigarette.
My unicorned chick has a drawing pin in her eye. read more »
