I took the day off work today. Had a long and painful dental appointment. 'bout 90 minutes, and there was blood and tears.

Beforehand, I figured it was about time I banked my loose change. So I got bonus CDs on the way to pain.

Okay... been slack about updating. And today is a shit day for it, because between work, dentist, shower, food, and sleep.... I have 18 minutes of 'me time'.

I got my boss to announce to the extended team that I have MS. And she quoted me with 'it's not a secret - it just doesn't come up easily in conversation'. I had some lovely sympathy emails, and a few funny exchanges.

I got so upset - the Accountant who talked me down from GST stress is going. It's very strange to be this upset when some guy in Finance leaves... but he's so damn good!  read more »

If I can make some time when I'm not trying to sleep, I need to step back and assess whether I can at least thin my appointment load. 'tis very high.

Got CDs today, knowing full well that I can't really afford them:
Ashbury Heights - Three Cheers for the Newlydeads. Bought this on the basis of one track and a recommendation from CD store guy. He's right that it's a bit poppy, but I was having a poppy moment.

VNV Nation - I think I'm even more sad that I missed their first tour. Very, VERY happy with the show.

Today my voice is almost totally gone, and that's because I talked too much, even though I could feel my cold was hitting. I kept talking after my voice was quite obviously disappearing. I felt myself getting sick Monday, and have refused to acknowledge it. Now that I have seen VNV, I can be a sick as I like.  read more »

Whatsisname left today - and I really will miss him. So much so that I exchanged email addresses, which is uncommon for me.

When the last guy left, he caught me off guard on the way out, and a hug was going on before I really worked it out. It's a sign that I really liked him, because I didn't thump him for entering my personal zone. But I did say that "I'm not a touchy, huggy person.", and he had a good, quick come back about being lucky.  read more »
