Mostly Random

Stress aside, I have decided that I have moved beyond the honeymoon stage of work, to one where I have described it as "a magical wonderland". This is because people just roam the office with boxes of chocolates and give them out. This happened twice this week - once was 'Picnic's.

Then I get to offset that with free fruit.

On the drive to work we saw a guy on a bike. Periodically you see these ones, and they are pedaling so fast it's just funny. For some reason, they remind me of the Muppet movie, with Kermit on a bike.

I have tried 'mock meat', and it's surprisingly good. The mock chicken was not great, but beef and pork have put a lot of work into the texture of whatever-it-is in there that seems like meat.

Some days, I buy an extra coffee to get me through the afternoon. Some of those times, I want to march back to the place I got it, and demand a refund because it didn't bloody work.

The chemist near me has this machine that I just had to stop and chat about for... maybe 15 minutes with the chemist. He just two-fingered my script in to the little desk computer, and my stuff came down a little slide to the desk. I'm told that pensioners in particular bring their friends to watch it. Also, they know the problem is bad when the errors are in German.

I think this has happened too early, but I am getting strange questions at work now - possibly I seem too helpful in general. Also, some spoke of me like I'm an expert, and I've told them to just keep that quiet. Mostly because I'm not.

But I do alright at logically stepping through what happens with a 100% salary sacrifice to a self managed super fund, and what to do with the wages while we wait for the fund's compliance details. It's all about the Tax.

Also - we had a fire drill, and the guy doing the announcements was laughing.
