I had such a workday, but in a good way.
If I wasn't the expert in this system before, I am now. The whole day was with a Business Analyst, and we picked things apart as much we could fit in. And there's a spec for what I want to happen.
I was egged on to use the buttons no-one knows about. One in particular is awesome. And now I know what the mystery field does. Like many other things... never been used since the system was developed.
My other button guesses turn out to be good. Some are very probably unintendedly useful, so they'll try to develop the buttons to fit what I do.
Now I have all kinds of lists, and I'm the one who knows bits that are spread over departments.
I like understanding things. It was driving me nuts to have a system with no instructions.
Plus - I got bonus training form someone who developed the awesome database that no-one uses to full effect. I won't use it much, but saw some full on things it does.
I'm fucking buggered now.
