I just saw a psychologist - she seems fine. And I've worked out that I still find situations like this kind of funny. Unlike psychiatrists - psychologists are allowed to laugh, which is a good start.

Today was where we sussed each other out. I think we'll get on fine, although she's like fresh meat and doesn't have the confidence I have seen with experienced ones.

I find it funny that after I explained to her the types of people I shorthandedly refer to as Idiots... she adopted the shared language. She doesn't seem to have entirely grasped 'grumpy and tactless', but she'll get there.

I'm not sure what she thought of my explanation that I know how psych things work. I tried to sum up by saying that I'm like a veteran. In both senses. She gave me some kind of test to fill in for next time, and she's right that it's not nearly as long as an MMPI. And she agreed that if I'm not finding things useful, it's better if I just stop wasting both our time.
