I dislike the hospital treatment.
Today I had to see the dentist in the afternoon, to get the final crown on my hysteria causing snapped tooth. And the steroids mean I can't have an anesthetic. I told a very concerned looking dentist that I would just have to take it, and go ahead without. The tooth is dead anyway - not even a tooth left there anymore - so just the gums would hurt.
Now I love my dentist even more, because she was so careful and good - very nearly no pain whatsoever. I told her how great she is, and this will have to help me be less freaked out by dental visits from now on.
She and her husband / receptionist (who is also great) were really supportive after my tale of woe. I have the hospital bar-code bracelet.
You know the jokey stories about "ethnic" mothers who show love and support by making people eat? Dental husband does that by giving me stuff like toothpaste. I have lots of spare toothpaste.
He gave me a great pep talk (two, actually), and TWO tubes of toothpaste. I find it funny that it's like an "Eat! Eat!" show of love.
Unrelatedly - I only saw a snippet of news while getting a cup of tea. It reinforces why I don't watch TV, but possibly the commentary got more balanced after I left the room.
Palestinian construction working, on a bulldozer in Israel. Goes on a rampage in the bulldozer, and people die. What makes him a terrorist? Aren't Palestinians allowed to just be psychos and go on a random rampage? Maybe the radio told him to do it, I think the guy has a right to be a nut. If it happened in... Brisbane, and it was an Aussie, they'd just be a crazy person.
