*Losers*, not Victims

Today I heard somebody use the terms 'beautiful,' and 'work of art' to refer to spreadsheets. And that person is obviously a freak.

I was reminded of why I've given up on watching news on the TV tonight. Impulse Airlines - a new discount airfare mob - have just bowed out of the game. So they are referred to as 'victims'. I'm sorry, but they're not. It's not like they were an innocent group of people, unrelated to the business at hand, who fell prey to a surprise attack. They were business people who went in with some kind of plan, eyes open... and they failed. Thus, they are losers.

I've always disliked how Losers are mistaken for Victims.

It was m1 today. I seem to have missed any excitement there may have been. Unless you want to count the filthy looks I earned in my casual gear. I don't think that working on spreadsheets all day counts as a protest against globalism. There was extra security at our building, and I was glared through the foyer and followed to the lift. I gave the guy a business card (four down, four-hundred and ninety-six to go...), so I actually got to get in to the lift. By lunch I'd heard there were more guards, and was kind of nervous about getting back into the building. Then I realised that I could take that as good if it happened... no luck there though.
