The game ran a bit late today. Good game, did a bunch of good stuff. And, so help me, I am going to slap a fellow player. This is the first time I have reverted to jaw clenching since finishing work, and now I have a headache.
The last time I experienced in-game tension was when we were arguing about not much. Getting bogged down trying to work out plans. We had the tense time out, and things have worked better, like we're being good and agreeing on plans without too much fuss over detail, thinking as a team. Stuffed if I know where the hell the plans went... We go in to see a mage with the plan of blow-darting him to the land of nod, and instead of that this player climbs out a window. After that I stomped off to a 'pub' (which served tea) and sulked. We were attacked, kicked arse, and claimed the ears of an enemy to impress some people. Then there was a plan to approach this wizard again. But instead of the direct approach this player suddenly decided to fake life threatening injury. Which looks pretty stupid when they clearly are not injured, and the other party members are taken by surprise and aren't acting like they have a mortally wounded buddy. I tried apologising to the wizard, but it was all downhill from there and I stomped off again. Which I reckon was sensible given the lightning bolts and death which followed.
Then we all got heaps of money for a job we did earlier. The time I was knocked unconscious after this player hid under a bed. I think I like fighting with a whip though. That seems to work well, once you work out the different attack styles.
I may skip next week... see how I feel later this week, I guess. If next week was now I'd be taking a break.
